Katari
A desktop git client for Linux and Windows. Everything you do with git in one window — commit, branch, merge, resolve conflicts, push — working with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Gitea.
It runs on your machine and talks to your repositories directly. There is no server in the middle, nothing is uploaded, and it keeps working with no network at all.

What it costs
Free while Katari is in beta. After that, R350 a year — about $20, billed in rands — for every feature, and we will not raise it.
Your licence covers buying one, activating it, and what happens when it expires.
Where to start
- Installing — getting it onto your machine.
- Your licence — buying, activating, renewing.
- Stacked branches — the part that is different from other clients.
- Conflicts — resolving them one disagreement at a time.
- Accounts and remotes — connecting to your host, cloning without a browser.
- Day to day — staging, committing, history, patches, notes, keyboard.
